P0156 - Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Circuit Bank 2 Sensor 2

 P0156 - Heated Oxygen Sensor

(HO2S) Circuit Bank 2 Sensor 2

P0156 Description The Heated Oxygen Sensor 2 (HO2S2) (Downstream), after the three-way impetus (complex), screens the oxygen level in the fumes gas on each bank. For ideal impetus activity, the air-fuel blend (air-fuel proportion) should keep up with close to the best stoichiometric proportion. The HO2S2 yield voltage changes unexpectedly nearby the stoichiometric proportion. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) changes the fuel infusion time with the goal that the air-fuel proportion is almost stoichiometric. The HO2S2 creates a voltage somewhere in the range of 0.1 and 0.9 V because of oxygen in the fumes gas. In the event that the oxygen in the fumes gas builds, the air-fuel proportion becomes Lean. The PCM deciphers Lean when the HO2S2 voltage is underneath 0.45 V. In the event that the oxygen in the fumes gas diminishes, the air-fuel proportion becomes Rich. The PCM deciphers Rich when the HO2S2 voltage is above 0.45 V. The P0156 code will set when the PCM distinguishes that the HO2S2 signal voltage is out of reach for an all-encompassing period.
